General information
· Cushions will flatten and settle with use, and their covers can stretch and wrinkle. This is completely normal and to
be expected.
· Regular plumping and redressing – at least once a week – will help keep your cushions and your sofa looking good.
After plumping the fillings, you should smooth and reset the covers so the cushions look like new again.
If your sofa or chair has a light-coloured cover fabric please be aware that colour from denim jeans and other
non-colour-fast dark clothing can transfer onto your upholstery and cause discolouration. This is called ‘dye transfer’
and is especially common if the clothing is wet.
Covers - both removable and fixed - should only be cleaned professionally by an upholstery cleaning specialist.
Please note that colour variation may occur between cleaned and un-cleaned sections. When cleaning, it is advisable to
clean all components at the same time to avoid colour variation.
· DO NOT RUB!
· Quickly and carefully soak up any spillage by gently blotting with a clean, dry absorbent cloth.
· Do not use a wet cloth on fabric upholstery.
· Dust and accumulated dirt can accelerate wear of your upholstery and dull the colours.
We recommend lightly vacuuming with the appropriate upholstery attachment, or brushing with a soft bristled brush
on a weekly basis.
· Do not vacuum cushions that are contain feathers – brush with a soft bristled brush on a weekly basis instead.
· Avoid exposing your upholstery to direct and prolonged periods of sunlight and heat sources as fading may occur.
· Do no sit on the arms or back of your sofa or armchair as this could damage them.
· Avoid sitting on the edge of seat cushions as this could distort their shape or damage them over time.
· Never drag your furniture when moving it as this can damage the legs and frame. Always lift by the base.
· Take extra care when handling sharp objects near this product that could damage the cover.
· Never pull loose threads – always trim them neatly with scissors.
