Alle Länder mit Ausnahme von Deutschland: Gerät an Ihren zuständigen Fachhändler übergeben. Sollte dieser unbekannt sein,
teilen wir Ihnen gerne Namen und Anschrift mit. Bei berechtigtem Garantieanspruch wird GEV nach seiner Wahl in angemessener
Zeit das Gerät ausbessern oder austauschen. Sollte der Garantieanspruch nicht gerechtfertigt sein (z. B. nach
Ablauf der Garantiezeit, Mängel außerhalb des Garantieanspruches), so wird GEV versuchen, das Gerät kostengünstig zu
reparieren.
In den ersten 6 Monaten nach dem Kauf kann das beanstandete Gerät dem Händler übergeben werden, der bei optisch einwandfreien
Geräten einen Austausch vornehmen kann. Die Garantiehaftung bezieht sich nicht auf natürliche Abnutzung, Veränderungen durch
Umwelteinfl üsse oder Transportschäden, sowie nicht auf Schäden, die infolge Nichtbeachtung der Montageanleitung und/oder
Nichtbeachtung geltender Vorschriften/Normen bei der Installation entstehen. Mitgelieferte Leuchtmittel und Akkus/Batterien sind
von der Garantie ausgeschlossen. GEV haftet nicht für indirekte-, Folge- und Vermögensschäden.

Installation/Commissioning
- Refer to the current national guidelines on installation and
standards for smoke alarms (e.g. in Germany: DIN 14676).
Nb:
• Install the detector in the centre of the ceiling.
• Do not install smoke detectors in bathrooms
(high ambient humidity), garages (exhaust fumes),
draughty environments (including air vents) or lofts
with sharp angles (Fig. 2)
• The detector can be installed in loft ceilings, provided that
the slope of the pitched roof area does not exceed 20°.
• The device should be installed at least 50 cm away from
walls, ceiling joints (beams), furniture and lights.
• Rooms of over 60 m² and corridors longer than 15 m
require several detectors.
• Maximum installation height is 6 m. With higher ceilings,
we recommend that you install several alarms at various
heights.
• Install the device at least 4 m away from open fi replaces
and cookers.
• Install the base on the ceiling fi rst, as near as possible to
the centre of the room (Fig. 3).
• Protect the device from dust when drilling holes.
• Place the detector on its base and turn clockwise until it
clicks into place (Fig. 5.1).
• Once the detector is correctly locked into the base
(Fig. 5.1), the smoke detector automatically switches on ia
the ON/OFF switch on the underside (Fig. 4.1).
The red LED fl ashes every 35 seconds (Fig. 5.3).
• Run the test function by pressing and holding the button
(Fig. 5.2) (min. 3 seconds), until you hear a loud,
intermittent alarm signal (see also Testing/Maintenance).
In the event of any technical issues, please contact the
manufacturer or your local distributor.
• If the smoke detector is removed from its base, it will switch
o after a few seconds.

The FMR 3286 is a photoelectric smoke detector designed
for use in residential buildings and triggers the alarm as soon
as smoke is detected. It meets the statutory requirements for
smoke detectors.
Most fi res occur at night. We have no sense of smell while
sleeping and so cannot detect smoke. Therefore, smoke
detectors are an e ective way of providing an early warning of
the danger. An alarm is triggered as soon as smoke enters the
device. The device does not detect fl ames.
Applications:
• Stand-alone mode
To keep maintenance and operating costs down, the FMR
3286 is has a in-built lithium battery that lasts up to 10 years.
There is no need to change the battery. When the battery is
run down, just replace the FMR 3286. Automatic sensitivity
adjustment ensures optimal safety regardless of operating
time. The reliability of the device remains the same, even after a
number of years. Briefl y press the button located in the middle
of the device to deactivate the alarm for about 10 minutes. It
is specially designed to make it easy and convenient to use
and there is no need to use a ladder - a broomstick is enough.
Mounting location
For optimum protection of your home, install smoke detectors
in all rooms, corridors, basements and store rooms. For basic
protection, install smoke detectors in all bedrooms, playrooms
and in the corridors on all fl oors (Fig. 1+2).
