BABYLISS FOOT SPA

The BaByliss Foot Spa relieves stress and

tension by bringing relief to tired, aching feet

with a combination of massage, heat and

bubbles.

FEATURES

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.

1. Ensure the unit is in «off» position.

2. Place your foot bath on the floor, fill it with

warm water and plug in. Never plug or

unplug the appliance while your feet

are in water.

3. Sit down on a chair and place your feet in

the foot bath. Never stand in your foot

bath.

4. Select the desired combination settings

of bubbles, vibration and heat. Please note:

The heat setting is designed to help

maintain the temperature of warm water,

not to heat water.

5. After use, turn to «off» position. Take your

feet out of the unit and unplug before

emptying water out of the rear of the unit.

6. Rinse the appliance with water or a mild

detergent. Never submerge unit in water.

SWITCH SETTINGS

0 = off

= continuous massage

= bubble with heat. Fill the unit with warm

keep on an even temperature.

RECOMMENDED MASSAGING TIMES

Generally, the Foot Spa should not be used

for more than 10-15 minutes at a time,

although it may be used once or twice daily

at different intervals. Allow unit to cool before

using again. As a person’s metabolism varies,

so does the response to massage. You will

soon adjust your massage time to suit your

needs and personal comfort.

SAFETY CAUTIONS

• Ensure your hands are dry when touching

the switch and the plug.

• Always unplug when not in use and when

filling, emptying, cleaning or moving the

unit. Do not leave unattended when plugged in.

• Do not use without water.

• Only use on a flat surface.

• Take care not to spill any water on the

control switch.

• Do not stand in the unit. Always remain

seated during use.

• Discontinue use of this appliance if you

feel any discomfort, pain or irritation. If you

suffer from medical problems involving

your feet or legs, consult your doctor before

use.

• Do not use any attachments other than

those recommended by BaByliss.

• Do not immerse into water or other

liquids. Do not use near basins or other

vessels containing water.

• Store out of children’s reach.

• Allow to cool before storing away.

• Always ensure the voltage to be used

corresponds to the voltage on the unit.

• Do not use the appliance if the cord is

damaged. In the event of damage

discontinue use immediately. If the

supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by a special cord or assembly

available from the manufacturer or its

service agent. Return the appliance to the

Conair Service Centre. Information on how

this should be done is provided in the section

headed «UK After Sales Service: What to

do?».

UK WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in

accordance with the following code:

BLUE = NEUTRAL BROWN = LIVE

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead

of this appliance may not correspond with

the colour markings identifying the terminals

on your plug proceed as follows:

• The wire which is coloured BLUE must be

connected to the terminal which is marked

with the letter N or coloured black.

• The wire which is coloured BROWN must

be connected to the terminal which is marked

with the letter L or coloured red.

• Neither core should be connected to the

earth terminal of a three pin plug marked

with the letter E or or is coloured green

or green and yellow.

With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used

a 3 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other

type of plug is used a 5 amp fuse must be

fitted either in the plug or at the distribution

board

CONSEILS D’UTILISATION

1. S’assurer que l’appareil est en position

«arrêt» (off).

2. Placer le bain de massage sur le sol,

le remplir avec de l’eau tiède (ou froide

pour un massage rafraîchissant) et le

brancher. Ne jamais brancher ou

débrancher l’appareil en ayant les

pieds dans l’eau.

3. S’asseoir sur une chaise et placer les

pieds dans le bain de massage. Ne

pas se mettre debout dans l’appareil.

4. Choisir une combinaison de massage,

bulles et/ou chaleur. N.B.: la fonction

chaleur permet de maintenir l’eau

tiède, pas de la chauffer.

5. Après utilisation, placer en position

«arrêt» (off). Retirer les pieds de la

cuvette et débrancher l’appareil avant

de le vider par l’arrière.

6. Rincer l’appareil avec de l’eau et

éventuellement un détergent doux. Ne

jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau.

DURÉE RECOMMANDÉE DE MASSAGE

En général, le massage ne doit pas

dépasser 10 à 15 minutes. Le bain de

massage peut être utilisé une ou deux

fois par jour. Laisser refroidir l’appareil

avant de le réutiliser. La réaction de chacun

au massage varie en fonction du

métabolisme. Après quelques utilisations, il

sera facile de définir le temps de massage

optimal.

CONSEILS DE SÉCURITÉ

ou à proximité de la baignoire, de

lavabos ou autres récipients

contenant de l’eau.

• Ranger l’appareil hors de portée des

enfants.

• Laisser refroidir l’appareil avant de le

ranger.

• Toujours s’assurer que la tension

d’utilisation correspond à celle indiquée

sur l’appareil.

• Cesser immédiatement d’utiliser

l’appareil si le cordon est endommagé.

Si le câble d’alimentation est

endommagé, il doit être remplacé

par un ensemble disponible auprès

du fabricant ou de son service après

vente.

• Retourner l’appareil au Centre de

réparation le plus proche pour inspection,

réglages, réparation électrique ou

mécanique. Aucune réparation ne peut

être effectuée par l’utilisateur.

BENUTZUNGSHINWEISE

1. Überprüfen Sie, daß das Gerät auf «aus» (off)

steht.

2. Das Massagebad auf den Fußboden stellen, mit

warmem Wasser füllen (für eine erfrischende

Massage kaltes Wasser verwenden) und an den

Stromkreis anschließen. Niemals den Apparat

anschließen oder den Kontaktstecker

ziehen, wenn die Füße im Wasser sind.

3. Setzen Sie sich auf einen Stuhl und stellen

Sie die Füße in das Massagebad. Bitte im

Gerät nicht hinstellen.

4. Eine Kombination aus Massage, Sprudel

und/oder Wärme wählen. (Anm.: die Funktion

Wärme erlaubt es, das Wasser warm zu halten,

kann es aber nicht erhitzen.

5. Nach dem Gebrauch wieder auf Position «aus»

(off) stellen. Die Füße aus dem Becken nehmen

und das Netzkabel ziehen, bevor Sie das

Wasser nach hinten ausgießen.

6. Das Gerät mit Wasser und eventuell einem

sanften Reinigungsmittel spülen. Niemals das

Gerät in Wasser tauchen.

SCHALTERSTELLUNGEN

EMPFOHLENE MASSAGEDAUER

Normalerweise sollte die Massagedauer 10 bis 15

Minuten nicht überschreiten. Das Massagebad

kann ein oder zwei Mal pro Tag benutzt werden.

Das Gerät vor dem erneuten Gebrauch abkühlen

lassen. Die Reaktionen auf die Massage sind vom

individuellen Metabolismus (Stoffwechsel)

abhängig und können von Person zu Person

unterschiedlich sein. Nach einigen Anwendungen

ist es leicht, die optimale Massagedauer selbst

festzustellen.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

• Den Positionsschalter und den Netzstecker

nur mit trockenen Händen berühren.

• Nach dem Gebrauch, vor dem Füllen, Entleeren,

Reinigen oder bewegen des Geräts immer den

Netzstecker ziehen. Niemals das angeschlossene

Gerät unbeaufsichtigt lassen.

• Dieses Gerät nicht ohne Wasser benutzen.

• Das Gerät immer auf eine gerade Oberfläche

stellen.

• Achten Sie darauf, daß keine Wassertropfen

auf den Positionsschalter gelangen.

• Im Gerät nicht hinstellen. Bleiben Sie während

der gesamten Dauer der Anwendung sitzen.

• Das Gerät nicht weiter benutzen, wenn

Beschwerden, Schmerzen oder Reizungen

auftauchen. Bei medizinischen Problemen

bezüglich der Füße oder Beine befragen Sie

den Arzt, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.

• Nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten

tauchen. Nicht über oder in der Nähe der

Badewanne, Waschbecken oder anderen

wassergefüllten Behältern benutzen.

• Das Gerät außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern

aufbewahren.

• Im Fall einer Beschädigung des Netzkabels

die Benutzung unverzüglich einstellen. Falls

das Kabel beschädigt ist, muß es durch ein

spezialkabel ersetzt oder durch den Hersteller

oder Kundendienst ausgetauscht werden.

• Lassen Sie die Elektrik bzw. Mechanik des

Geräts von einem vom Hersteller anerkannten

Reparaturservice prüfen, reparieren und

einstellen. Der Benutzer darf keine Reparatur

selbst vornehmen.

GEBRUIKSADVIEZEN

1. Nagaan of het apparaat wel in de «uit»-stand

(off) staat.

2. Het massagebad op de grond zetten, het vullen

met lauw water (of koud water voor een

verfrissende massage) en vervolgens

aansluiten. Het apparaat nooit aansluiten of

loskoppelen met de voeten in het water.

3. Gaan zitten op een stoel en de voeten in het

massagebad plaatsen. Nooit gaan rechtstaan

in het apparaat.

4. Een combinatie van massage, luchtbellen en/of

warmte kiezen. NB: de warmtefunctie maakt

het mogelijk het water lauw te houden, niet het

te verwarmen.

5. Na gebruik het apparaat weer «uit» (off) zetten.

De voeten wegtrekken uit het bad en de stekker

van het apparaat uittrekken vooraleer u het langs

achter leeggiet.

6. Het apparaat uitspoelen met water en eventueel

een mild detergent. Het apparaat nooit

onderdompelen in water.

AANBEVOLEN MASSAGEDUUR

In het algemeen mag de massage niet langer dan

10 tot 15 minuten duren. Het massagebad kan

apparaat laten afkoelen vooraleer u het herbruikt.

De reactie van elke persoon op de massage

varieert afhankelijk van het metabolisme. Na enkele

gebruiksbeurten zal het gemakkelijk zijn de

optimale massagetijd te bepalen.

VEILIGHEIDSADVIEZEN

• Opletten dat uw handen droog zijn vooraleer u

• Het apparaat op een vlak oppervlak plaatsen.

• Opletten dat u geen water op de schakelaar giet.

• Het apparaat niet langer gebruiken als u pijn

voelt of als tekenen van ongemak of irritatie

optreden. Bij medische problemen met de voeten

of de benen, een geneesheer raadplegen

voordat u het apparaat in gebruik neemt.

• Geen andere hulpstukken gebruiken dan die

aanbevolen door Babyliss.

• Niet onderdompelen in water of enige andere

vloeistof. Niet gebruiken boven of in de nabijheid

van de badkuip, wastafels of andere recipiënten

met water.

• Het apparaat buiten bereik van kinderen

opbergen.

• Het gebruik van het apparaat onmiddellijk

stopzetten als de voedingskabel beschadigd

is. Indien het elektrische snoer beschadigd is,

dient het te worden vervangen door een speciaal

snoer, al dan niet met toebehoren, verkrijbaar bij

de fabrikant of diens klantendienst.

• Het apparaat terugbrengen naar het dichtstbij-

gelegen reparatiecentrum voor elektrische of

mechanische reparatie. Geen enkele reparatie

mag door de gebruiker worden verricht.

• Dit apparaat voldoet aan de essentiële vereisten

van de richtlijnen 89/336/E.E.G. (elektro-

magnetische compatibiliteit) en 73/23/E.E.G.

ISTRUZIONI D’USO

1. Accertarsi che l’apparecchio si «spento» (off).

2. Collocarlo a terra, riempire con acqua tiepida

(oppure fredda per un massaggio rinfrescante)

e inserire la spina. Non eseguire mai questa

operazione quando i piedi sono nell’acqua.

3. Sedersi su una sedia e mettere i piedi nella

vaschetta. Non restare mai in piedi

nell’apparecchio.

4. Scegliere una combinazione di massaggio,

bolle e/o calore. NB: la funzione «calore»

permette di mantenere l’acqua tiepida, non di

scaldarla.

5. Dopo l’utilizzo porré in posizione «spento»

(off). Togliere i piedi dal apparecchio e staccare la

spina di corrente prima di svuotare l’acqua.

6. Risciacquare l’apparecchio con acqua e, se

occorre, con un detergente delicato. Non

immergere mai l’apparecchio in acqua.

COME REGOLARE IL COMMUTATORE

0 = spento (off)

DURATA CONSIGLIATA DI MASSAGGIO

In genere, il massaggio non deve superare i 10/15

minuti. L’idromassaggio può essere utilizzato una

o due volte al giorno. Lasciar raffreddare

l’apparecchio prima di riutilizzarlo.

CONSIGLI DI SICUREZZA

• Assicurarsi che le mani siano asciutte prima di

toccare il commutatore o la spina di corrente.

• Disinserire sempre la spina di corrente dopo

l’utilizzo,

prima di riempire, svuotare, pulire o

spostare l’apparecchio. Non lasciare mai la spina

di alimentazione senza sorveglianza.

• Non utilizzare questo apparecchio senza

acqua.

• Appoggiare l’apparecchio su una superficie piana.

• Far attenzione a non versare dell’acqua sul

commutatore

• Interrompere l’uso se si presentano dolori o

segnali di disagio o irritazione. In caso di

problemi medici riguardanti piedi o gambe,

consultare un medico prima dell’uso.

• Non usare accessori diversi da quelli

raccomandati da BaByliss.

• Non immergere in acqua o altro liquido. Non

utilizzare sopra o in prossimità di vasche da

bagno, lavandini o altri recipienti contenenti

acqua.

• Tenete l’apparecchio fuori dalla portata dei

bambini

• Interrompere immediatamente l’uso qualora il

filo elettrico sia danneggiato e sostituirlo presso

un centro assistenza autorizzato.

• Portare l’apparecchio al Centro Assistenza più

vicino per eventuali riparazioni. L’utente non può

effettuare alcuna riparazione.

• Il presente apparecchio soddisfa le norme

CONSEJOS DE UTILIZACIÓN

1. Cerciórese que el aparato se encuentra en

posición «parada» (off).

2. Ponga el baño de masaje en el suelo, llenarlo

con agua tibia (o fría para efectuar un masaje

refrescante) y conectarlo. No enchufe o

desenchufe nunca el aparato al tener los

pies en el agua.

3. Sentarse en una silla e introducir los pies en

el baño de masaje. No se ponga de pie

teniendo los piés al interior del aparato.

4. Seleccionar una combinación de masaje,

burbujas y/o calor. N.B.: la función calor sólo

permite mantener el agua tibia pero no la

calienta.

5. Después de utilizar, poner el aparato en

posición «parada» (off). Saque los pies de la

cubeta y desenchufe el aparato antes de

vaciarlo por la parte posterior.

6. Enjuague el aparato con agua y un detergente

suave si se desea. No sumerja nunca el aparato

en el agua.

GRADUACIÓN DEL CONMUTADOR

0 = parada (off)

= masaje continuo

= baño de burbujas a buena temperatura.

Llenar el aparato con agua tibia, en esta

graduación se mantendrá a la temperatura.

= baño de burbujas con masaje continuo a

buena temperatura. Llenar el aparato

con agua tibia, éste se mantendrá a la

temperatura.

DURACIÓN DE MASAJE RECOMENDADA

En general el masaje no debe sobrepasar los 10 a

15 minutos. El baño de masaje puede utilizarse

una o dos veces al día. Dejar enfriar el aparato

antes de volver a utilizarlo. La reacción al masaje

varía en función del metabolismo de cada persona.

Después de algunas sesiones, será más fácil

determinar el tiempo óptimo de masaje.

CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD

• Asegurese de que sus manos están secas

antes de tocar el conmutador o el enchufe.

• Desenchufe siempre el aparato después de su

utilización, antes de llenarlo, de vaciarlo, de

limpiarlo o de moverlo. No deje el aparato

encendido sin vigilancia.

• No se le ocurra utilizar este aparato sin agua.

• Ponga el aparato en una superficie plana.

• Procure no derramar agua sobre el conmutador.

• Deje de utilizar el aparato si aparecen dolores o si

siente algún efecto de incomodidad o de irritación.

En caso de problemas de salud relacionados con

los pies o las piernas, consulte con un médico

antes de utilizar el aparato.

• Utilice únicamente los accesorios aconsejados

por BaByliss.

• No sumerja el aparato en el agua o en cualquier

otro líquido. No lo utilice encima de la bañera

o de cualquier lugar en el que pueda mojarse.

• Guarde el aparato fuera del alcance de los niños.

• Deje inmediatamente de utilizar el aparato en

caso de que el cable de alimentación se encuentre

deteriorado. En caso de que el cable se estropee,

hay que cambiarlo por otro similar o por un

conjunto especial que le puede proporcionar en el

servicio técnico.

• Envié el aparato al centro de reparación más

cercano en caso de reparaciones. El usuario no

debe efectuar ningún tipo de reparación.

• Este aparato cumple con las exigencias

esenciales de las directivas 89/336 C.E.E.

(compatibilidad electromagnética) y 73/23/C.E.E.

(seguridad de los aparatos electrodomésticos),
